Dog Ear

Named for the cut-off corners of the pickets, this style uses less material than others, and is a best seller. It is the most common wood privacy fence and serves as a “base model”. Due to the limited components, this style is ideal for a DIY repair. Our Dog Ear fences are built with a 3-inch gap on top, and a 4-inch gap at the bottom (from outer frame members to the end of the pickets) to reduce warping. Standard install is with pickets 1-1.5 inches off the ground.
